We are excited to share with you all that the website for our Centre for Teaching Excellence and Innovation (CTEI) is now LIVE! Check out an overview of the CTEI Website for navigation and celebration.

With huge gratitude to Mark Frias (Manager, Website in Marketing & Communications), Cynthia Reason (Manager, Communications in Marketing & Communications) and to Ceci Galvan (Manager, Communications in Teaching & Learning) for their magic in making this happen in terms of infrastructure, design, creativity, and communications, as well as big thank-yous to Natasha Patrito Hannon (Vice President, Teaching & Learning) and the entire CTEI Team (Jenny GeMatthew DunleavyAlisa CunningtonYirong Wang, and Tony Payment) for their input, feedback, patience, and passion as this came to life.

Senior Educational Developer, Faculty Excellence and Development

Matthew Dunleavy (he/him) is an educational developer and scholarly teacher with over 9+ years’ experience. He immediately joins our CTEI from York University where he was an Educational Developer with the Teaching Commons; before entering that role, he served as the Program Director of the Online Learning and Technology Consultants (OLTC) Program at the Maple League of Universities (Acadia University; Bishop’s University; Mount Allison University; and St. Francis Xavier University). In 2022, he was awarded the D2L Innovation Award in Teaching and Learning by the Society for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (STLHE) for this work.
